LSU Communication across the Curriculum
Lead Communication Coach | August 2022 - Present | Baton Rouge, LA
As a communication coach, I work individually with clients to provide substantive feedback and improve their communication skills on projects such as papers, speeches, and presentations. I also help facilitate presentations and workshops for students and faculty about communication skills in the classroom. As a lead communication coach, I help train new coaches on studio and coaching procedures and assist with administrative tasks related to studio operations.

Under the Oak Baton Rouge
Intern | January 2025 - Present | Baton Rouge, LA
As an intern at Under the Oak, I shadow psychologists as they perform psychological assessments for pediatric patients. I also assist with operational tasks around the office. I organize and keep the resource library up to date. I assist with their social media by creating Instagram posts aimed at parents. I also help digitize files and store them in a database.

Children's Hospital New Orleans
Child Life Practicum Student | June 2024 - July 2024 | New Orleans, LA
I completed 111 hours of shadowing and education from Child Life Specialists in different areas of the hospital. I completed assignments such as developmental assessments, SOAP notes, and journal reviews based on my experiences with the CCLSs. I gathered materials and helped create activities for patients and their families based on interest and developmental levels. I managed play and teen areas by inviting patients to the areas and helped patients find activities they may be interested in.

Our Lady of the Lake Children's Developmental Center at McMains
Social Work Intern | August 2023 - December 2023 | Baton Rouge, LA
As a Social Work Intern, I observed and assisted in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy appointments. I assisted therapists by gathering materials before the appointments based on the patient's needs and assisted during appointments. I reflected on appointments and observations in a daily journal and discussed these with my supervisor every week. I also participated in their Wheels to Succeed adaptive bike event. Additionally, I created a sensory exposure exercise that can be utilized in therapy appointments based on my experiences.
Pediatric Occupational Therapy Volunteer | January 2024 - June 2024 | Baton Rouge, LA
I spent 35 hours assisting Pediatric Occupational Therapists during and in between their appointments. I gathered toys and materials for their appointments based on their developmental levels. In between appointments, I cleaned the toys and spaces to maintain a clean and healthy environment and organize toys and materials as asked. I also helped create seasonal activities using the materials available in the space.
