Trauma Informed Care for Pediatric Medical Professionals
A presentation I gave for my Child & Community class. It explores what trauma informed care (TIC) is and how it can be successfully implemented into pediatric healthcare settings. There is also a card game included at the end that helps professionals understand implementing TIC through random scenarios
Self Care Activities for Pediatric Hospitals
A booklet I created in my Crisis Intervention class. It shows self care activities that can be done in the hospital setting. It is divded by developmental age and includes activities for parents.
Child Life Developmental Assessment
A developmental assessment I completed for Child Life Theory. It looks at a scenario of a child who has entered the hospital and looks at the social/emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the child.
Conducting Earlier Diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in Adolescent Females
A literature review I wrote for Adolescent Development & Emerging Adulthood. It focuses on polycystic ovarian syndrome in adolescents and benefits seen from early diagnosis.
